The gift of forgiveness

Give yourself the gift of forgiveness. Leave the burdens behind. Once you start doing it as a daily practice you will know the great joy you will experience as a result of living a life without judgement or blame.   I am referring here to ALL  the judgements that you might have; yes all of them, against others and against yourself. This practice doesn't mean leave someone or yourself  "off the hook" from whatever they did "wrong" or you did "wrong". This means learning the lessons, and liberating yourself from the burden of guilt, shame, hatred.  This process will help  freeing your energy to create new delights in your life.

If everyone on the planet were to practice forgiveness as a daily discipline, life on Earth would be positively transformed.  Daily forgiveness and daily gratitude are the key pillars to a better, and healthier you. As a side effect of this practice you will experience waves of joy permeating your life and the life of those around you. Try it; you don't have anything to lose and a lot to gain.

To start this practice and make it part of your daily rut you need to start creating positive affirmations regarding forgiveness and gratitude. Start with something very general. For example: "I forgive myself for my unconscious behaviors of the past. I release myself from the guilt and shame that those behaviors have caused me". "I am grateful for the lessons I have learned through the challenges I have been through".

Repeat those affirmations a minimum of 3 times each day for at least 3 weeks.

Once you have done that, experience your feelings regarding the situation. If you don't feel changes, keep doing the same positive affirmations; if you feel "lighter" in that area of your life, start with new affirmations.

Trust me this is the first step of feeling better and joyful.

Forgiveness is simple but sometimes not easy. We do have a choice . We can live carrying the burden or we can free ourselves from that. What do you choose?
